THE DEATH OF A BIG CHUNK OF MY LIFE
Hey guys! So i feel as if a huge chunk of my life has just died. After being on my to-do list for nearly two years I’ve finally finished transferring blog posts and have deleted my old Secret Life of John Blog.
For a number of years this blog was home to my many ramblings and mundane daily stories, candid photos and wacky adventures. I think it was 2009 when i made the switch here to WordPress and not long after that registered the gdaymatejohn domain.
So although it’s now all here on gdaymatejohn.com it’s still a bit of a shock. I often thought over the past year or three about my old blog and went in to check up on it, it was so much more primitive and amateur than what i have here now but i didn’t really care, i loved it and poured my heart and soul into it.
So that’s it . . secret-life-of-john.blogspot.com is officially dead and buried . . make sure you trail the archives here to see what i was like back then – i know i will again one day soon . . .
** Also sorry to my WordPress followers that i spammed with the last of my transfer posts – i switched off the Facebook & Tumblr Publicize but apparently there’s no way to do it through the wp newsfeed, sorry 
“the day after”
Hi Guys! So this week marks the two year anniversary of the Brisbane Floods. When the floods occurred i was already in the middle of town and had the opportunity to film a few of the well known areas around Brisbane that were affected, check out the video below for that footage.
The day after – i made my way around town again to see for myself the extent of damage that was caused. That footage never made it to my blog so i thought I’d share it with you on this anniversary date. I made it a little more “documentary style” as well with some added news clips from the time.
